community What We Do WCEM is a dedicated team of professionals committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our community We accomplish this through a multifaceted approach 1 Planning and Preparedness Hazard Identification Risk Assessment We continuously assess potential threats to our county analyzing historical data and anticipating emerging risks Emergency Operations Plans EOPs WCEM develops and maintains comprehensive EOPs for various emergency scenarios outlining procedures for response coordination and resource allocation Training and Exercises We conduct regular training exercises simulating realworld emergency situations to ensure our team partner agencies and community stakeholders are prepared to act effectively Public Education Outreach Through community events educational resources and public awareness campaigns we empower residents with the knowledge and skills to prepare for 2 emergencies 2 Mitigation Prevention Hazard Mitigation Planning WCEM works with community partners to develop and implement strategies to reduce the impact of future disasters including structural enhancements land use planning and community awareness programs Community Resilience Building We promote community preparedness by supporting local organizations schools and businesses in developing their own emergency plans and capabilities 3 Response Recovery Emergency Operations Center EOC Activation During an emergency WCEM activates the EOC serving as the central hub for coordinating response activities and communicating with partner agencies Resource Allocation We work closely with state and federal partners to access necessary resources including personnel equipment and funding to effectively respond to emergencies Recovery Support In the aftermath of a disaster WCEM provides assistance and support to individuals and communities affected by the event helping them rebuild and recover Who We Are WCEM is a dedicated team of professionals each possessing
